Super sandwich ideas

The same sandwiches everyday can soon get boring. Try some of our yummy, healthy ideas. The variety of fillings is limited only by your imagination. Try some of the new bread products at your local supermarket. There are so many shapes, colours and flavours to choose from.
Cooking directions
It can't be easier. Spread bread with your favourite spread and fill with your favourite fillings - yum!
Some of our favourite fillings:
- Grated carrot, raisins, cottage cheese
- Hummus, apple slices, lettuce, wholegrain mustard
- Leftover cold chicken with celery, walnuts, lettuce, low-fat mayonnaise
- Drained canned tuna with tomato, sliced gherkin, low-fat mayonnaise, lettuce
- Low-fat cream cheese, lettuce, drained canned beetroot
- Grated carrot, hummus, sprouts, cumcumber
- Sliced tomato, grated carrot, lettuce, hummus
- Drained canned tuna with coleslaw
Tip:
- Often spreads such as margarine or butter aren't needed. If you do want to use a spread, use a little, not a lot.
- Instead of margarine or butter, try using hummus, low-fat mayonnaise, or wholegrain mustard.
