Preparation time: 10 minutes

Quick, easy and tasty either hot or cold. These are a great lunch, snack, or excellent with soup.

 

Cooking directions

  • Toast the pita pockets, this will allow you to split them in half easily.

  • Place pita halves on baking tray with the inside facing up.

  • Smear with a small amount of the tomato sauce.

  • Cover with a little grated cheese.

  • Grill in a hot oven until chesse has melted and golden.

  • Great with cauliflower soup, minestrone or Thai pumpkin soup

Ingredients

1 cup grated cheese

4 tablespoons tomato sauce

4 pita bread, wholemeal
