Preparation time: 30 minutes
A birthday party favourite that is a great alternative to greasy sausage rolls.
Cooking directions
- Mix the flours and baking powder together.
- Make a well in the centre and add the oil and milk.
- Mix to form a soft dough.
- Divide the dough into 12 even-sized pieces.
- Flatten each piece into a small square, spread with a little tomato sauce or chutney, place the quarter sausage on the dough and roll up.
- Bake at 200°C for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

3 cups flour
1 cup wholemeal flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
3 tablespoons polyunsaturated oil
1 3/4 cups low-fat milk
3 sausages, boiled and quartered length-wise
1 cup tomato sauce or chutney
