Omelette
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Quick, easy and yummy! Use any combination of your favourite fillings and include vegetables for a healthy family meal.
Cooking directions
- Beat egg and milk in a bowl. Beat well so yolks and white are well mixed.
- Melt 1 teaspoon margarine in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat until it covers the pan and starts bubbling.
- Pour egg mixture into pan and shake to distribute the eggs evenly over pan.
- Cook over a medium heat until the entire base is set. Use a fish slice to lift omelette at the edges to see if the base is set and cooked all over.
- Scatter vegetables evenly over one half of the omelette. Use your favourite combination of cooked sliced mushrooms, cooked chopped onion, cooked sliced red pepper, sliced tomato, spring onion, fresh herbs or cooked sliced courgette.
- Use the fish slice to fold the omelette in half.
- Carefully slide omelette onto plate.
- Serve with green salad.
