Preparation time: 10 minutes

Older children enjoy making these fruit kebabs. Use any combination of your favourite fresh and tinned fruit - look out for what's on special at the market or supermarket.

 

Cooking directions

  • Cut the points off the kebab sticks.
  • Peel the oranges and carefully cut into segments.
  • Chop the rest of the fruit into bite-sized pieces.
  • Thread pieces of fruit onto the kebab sticks.
  • Serve kebabs with a bowl of yoghurt for dipping.
  • For an extra special treat, add one marshmallow per stick.

Try:

  • Using seasonal fruit – it’s usually cheaper.
  • Using tinned fruit like peaches, pears or apricots.

Ingredients

8 wooden kebab sticks

2 apples

2 oranges

1/2 melon, or other seasonal fruit

24 grapes, or other seasonal fruit

16 strawberries, or other seasonal fruit

1 large pottle yoghurt

8 marshmellows
