A tasty variation on traditional French toast that the kids will love!

 

Cooking directions

  • Mix mashed banana with milk and egg.
  • Dip bread one piece at a time into milk mixture. Make sure both sides are well coated.
  • Heat one teaspoon of the margarine in a non-stick frypan over a medium heat.
  • Put bread in pan and cook for 2 minutes on each side or until golden.
  • Repeat with remaining slices of bread, adding more of the margarine if needed for each slice of bread.
  • Serve warm with sliced fresh or tinned fruit.

Ingredients

2 bananas, mashed

1/3 cup low-fat milk

1 egg, beaten

6 slices wholegrain bread

1 tablespoon margarine
